Lori Fundal Pilatan to launch new books
Lori Fundal Pilatan, a poet and an independent writer who hails from Passi City and now based in Canada, will launch her two new books this coming July 12, 2025 at the City of Passi Arena. The two books are: “Rising Above Challenges and Adversities: A Family’s Journey” which is a book about the author’s family and “Filoteo Palmares Sr.: The Grand Old Man of Passi” which tackles the life story of Filoteo Palmares, Sr., the longest-serving mayor of Passi.
Lori Fundal Pilatan has so far published nine books through Kindle Direct Publishing (Amazon).
Additionally, Lori Fundal Pilatan will also lead the launching of their family charity, Pilatan Clan Charity Incorporated (PCCI), in collaboration with her cousins in Canada. She said all the royalties from her book sales will go toward supporting their charity.
“I strongly believe that God gave me this gift to help those less fortunate than I am. We are not wealthy family, but I believe that while we can’t change the world, we can change one life at a time,” she said, adding “I also hold Mother Teresa’s words close to my heart: “It’s not how much we give, but how much love we put in giving.”
