40 students receive academic and sports incentives in Antique

About 40 Antiqueño students were recognized by the Antique Provincial Government for their academic and athletic achievements wherein they given cash incentives at the Binirayan Sports Complex in San Jose de Buenavista, Antique on February 18.
Five graduates with Latin honors, along with a top scorer who secured the eighth spot in the Metallurgical Engineering Board Exam on October 2024, have received cash incentives.
Additionally, 14 individuals were given incentives for bagging first place in the LIKHA Science Investigatory Project Fair – Mathematics and Computational Sciences (Team) – Secondary Level at the Division SciMathlympics 2024.
Several students were recognized for winning a total of 12 medals, including seven golds, three silvers, and two bronzes, in the Anyo Individual Single and Double Weapon categories at the Philippine Martial Arts Hall of Fame 2nd Iloilo Bladed Festival National Arnis Invitationals 2024 in Ajuy, Iloilo.
One athlete was also recognized for bagging first place in the 80-kilometer individual category at the 2024 Southeast Asian Trail Running Cup (SEATRC) in Bontoc, Mountain Province, while the team was named overall champion.
Adding to the list of Antiqueño pride is another student who won a gold medal in the 18-and-under Boys Category at the 2nd Mayor ICO Invitational Tennis Tournament in Calinog, Iloilo.
Moreover, the Antique athletics 4x400m Men’s Relay Team won gold, while another athlete took bronze in Men’s Sepak Takraw at the Philippine ROTC Games 2024 Visayas Regional Qualifiers in Bacolod City.
Meanwhile, some athletes also bagged several awards at the PRISAA National Games in Legazpi, Albay including:
* Gold medal – Taekwondo (Women)
* Silver medal – Athletics (Shot Put, Women)
* Bronze medal – Taekwondo (Women)
