The Iloilo City Government, in collaboration with Eon Realty signed a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) for the implementation of the Uswag–Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Condominium Complex in Iloilo City on March 25.
It was graced by Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas and was also attended by Atty. Peter Jason Millare, Department Head II of the Iloilo City Local Housing Office (ICLHO); Ms. Eva Maria Marfil, Regional Director of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) in Region 6; Eon Realty Chairman Mr. Felicito Tiu, and Eon Realty President Mr. Franjieh Eon Angelo Tiu.
The said initiative is intended for the low income informal settlers or for those who are first time buyers with no registered real property. As for the availability of slots and qualifications for the said condo units, ICLHO has a total of 1,500 applicants with Pag-IBIG numbers, and another 500 with no Pag-IBIG numbers. The said office has also gathered 247 applicants with loyalty cards as of March 25.
This also aims to reduce the housing backlogs in Iloilo City which is currently composed of 22,038 informal settler households. Additionally, ICLHO, in coordination with DHSUD, has completed the city-wide survey of informal settlers and eyes for more housing programs.
The USWAG-4PH project features 13 ten-story buildings composed of 129 condominium units per building. The units range from 24 to 27 square meters and are priced between PHP 1.5 and 1.7 million.
Meanwhile, the construction of the said project is set to begin in April and is expected to be completed in phases by 2028-2029.
